2015 saw cuts by Charles "Chizzy" Stephens III recorded by RCA's Daniel Skye ("Sing No More"), Sony Finland's Isac Elliot ("No On Else"), Warner Spain's Abraham Mateo ("Todo Termino"), and K-pop sensations Got7 ("Just Right").
Chizzy has produced and co-written on a variety of pop, R&B, and hip-hop records, including, most recently, Khalil feat. Justin Bieber's "Playtime"; Chris Brown's "I Can't Win" and "Waiting"; three tracks on O-Town's new comeback album, 'Lines & Circles'; two cuts on Jennifer Lopez's 2014 LP 'A.K.A.' ("Same Girl" and "TENS"); and Candice Glover's "Forever That Man", an emotional ballad featured on her debut album. Chizzy was also a featured panelist member during ASCAP’s 2014 EXPO for One-on-One Sessions (Audia-Technica) and iStandard Rapper and Producer Showcase.
Chizzy, an Augusta, GA, native, began his musical training on the trumpet. However, it was the sounds of Dr. Dre and Master P that would inspire him to focus on the keyboard. From a young age, Chizzy’s ability to develop solid pop and R&B projects earned him notice from Grammy Award-winning producers Luis Resto (“Lose Yourself,” “Without Me”), Urban Kris ('8 Mile' Soundtrack, Eminem), and DJ Head ('Devil's Night', 'The Eminem Show'). After attending Full Sail University and earning a degree in Recording Arts and Entertainment Business, Chizzy began working with Poe Boy Entertainment, Plies, Rick Ross, Trick Daddy, Wes Fif, and Nycole Valentina.
In addition to working with Jennifer Lopez and Candice Glover, Chizzy’s music has achieved major placements with artists such as Jordan Knight, Chris Brown, and K-pop group B1A4. He has also placed a variety of custom-made pop and hip-hop tracks for TV shows such as VH1's 'Black Ink Crew', A&E's 'Beyond Scared Straight', and BET's 'Being Mary Jane', as well as brand campaigns like Coors Light's The Search For The Coldest Emcee Campaign.
Spirit looks forward to a creative partnership with Chizzy that will continue to garnish the flourishing career of this young breakout writer/producer.
