Brooklyn-born Liz Hengber began her songwriting career at Reba McEntire's company, Starstruck Entertainment.    Just six months into her deal  she was celebrating her first cut, her first single, and her first #1 with the Reba smash, "For My Broken Heart." This initial success was soon followed with three more Reba #1  hits, "It's Your Call, "And Still," and "Forever Love."

In the year 2000 Liz made it on to Billboard Magazines top 10 Country songwriters of 2000 with her hits “She's More” by Andy Griggs and “Unconditional” by Clay Davidson.

Liz has also received ASCAP  awards for 6 of her hit songs and in the year 2011 she won  GMA SONG OF THE YEAR in Canada for her High Valley hit,  "A Father's Love,"   also recorded by Bucky Covington.
Liz  has had songs recorded by artists such as Reba McEntire, The SteelDrivers, Ronnie Dunn, Vince Gill, Trace Adkins, Easton Corbin, Bucky Covington, Deana Carter, Conway Twitty, Suzie Bogguss, Andy Griggs, Peter Cetera, Trisha Yearwood, Lee Greenwood, Cindy Thomson, Lari White, Trick Pony, Linda Davis, Jason Sellers, Rick Trevino, Emily West, Little Texas, High Valley and James Otto.
