NEW YORK, NY (August 24, 2009) - Songwriter and producer Peter Rafelson, a member of the Spirit family for ten years, has signed another multi-year pact, keeping both his classic catalog and buzzing newer work with the company.

Peter burst onto the Los Angeles music scene in the '80s, collaborating with such artists as Jane Wiedlin (“Rush Hour”), Stevie Nicks (“Some Become Strangers”), and Madonna on the #1 smash “Open Your Heart,” which will appear on her latest hits collection, 'Celebration.'

He became an in-demand record and soundtrack producer through the '90s and beyond, working with such global stars as The Corrs, Lili Haydn, and Fem 2 Fem and such media projects as FOX's 'Lucas,' HBO’s 'Poodle Springs,' and 'National Lampoon’s Dorm Daze.'

In recent years, he has signed and developed artists for his own RM label, including pop/dance divas One Sun, Leana, and Erika Jayne, who have collectively scored a string of five Top 10 Billboard and Music Week charting Dance records.
