LOS ANGELES (February 8, 2017) – Spirit Music Group has appointed Angie Maggini to Vice President, Film & Television, as announced today by Peter Shane, Senior Vice President, Creative Services, Spirit Music Group. Maggini, who will be based in Los Angeles and will report to Shane, will work with the film, television, and trailer communities to create opportunities for Spirit’s writers.

Her work over the years demonstrates how much value she brings to our songwriters with her ability to successfully place music, and it’s also earned her tremendous respect among her peers. She’s a wonderful addition to our team and we’re very glad to have her,” said Peter Shane.

In September of 2016, Spirit Music Group announced a long-term strategic administration and co-publishing deal with the music publishing division of UK powerhouse Global Entertainment. The deals encompass the Global music publishing catalogs in the US, UK and Canada. Together, Spirit and Global will focus on maximizing creative and administration opportunities for Global’s songwriters and their full music publishing catalog, featuring a number of globally successful artists and songwriters, including Ellie Goulding, Corinne Bailey Rae, Jungle, The Script, LMFAO, The Vaccines, The Vamps, The Horrors, Coin, Mike Taylor, writer and producer Jeff Gitelman, Dawin, and Jarami, to name a few.
Prior to joining Spirit, Angie Maggini was Vice President of Film & TV Music Licensing at Global Entertainment, where she was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s synch licensing, including creative and administrative functions. She also served as Director of Synch Marketing at BMG, where she placed songs in television shows, television promos, films, film trailers, and video games.
Maggini has a long track record of successfully placing music in prominent projects. Some of her placement highlights include 'Supergirl' (CBS), 'Rosewood' (FOX), 'The Vampire Diaries' (CW), 'The Real O’Neals' (NBC), 'Grey’s Anatomy' (ABC), 'Silicon Valley' promos (HBO), 'Chicago PD' promos (NBC), 'Chicago Fire' promos (NBC), 'Central Intelligence' (Warner Bros.
