Since his move to Nashville in 2009, songwriter and producer David Garcia has had a tremendous impact in virtually every genre of music. Starting with his roots in Christian music, Garcia has transitioned into writing and producing for Top 40, Urban and country music genres. To date, he has received four Grammy awards, nine Dove awards, and was named ASCAP’s 2015 and 2019 Christian Music Songwriter of the Year.
Garcia's recent accolades include his first country radio #1 with "More Girls Like You," which he co-wrote, co-produced and mixed for Kip Moore's Slow Hearts album. He also produced and co-wrote three songs on NF's album Perception, which made its debut at #1 on the Billboard Top 40 albums chart upon release, and he co-produced Carrie Underwood's sixth studio album, co-writing several songs on the record, including the #1 hit "Southbound".
Garcia co-wrote and produced the multi-genre hit single and biggest charting song in country music history with the Bebe Rexha/Florida Georgia Line smash collaboration "Meant to Be." The song debuted at #1 and spent over 40 weeks atop the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, It peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100, and achieved #1 status on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.
