David Paich

Artist / Songwriter

David Paich is a keyboard player, arranger, and songwriter extraordinaire.

He was an original member and music director of Boz Scaggs’s band, co-writing such classic hits as “Lowdown,” “Lido Shuffle,” and “What Can I Say.” He went on to found the ‘80s rock band Toto, co-writing virtually all of that band’s songs, including “Hold The Line,” “Africa,” “Rosanna,” and “99.”

He has also written a list of other hits and gems, including Cheryl Lynn’s “Got To Be Real,” George Benson’s “Lady Love Me,” and songs for Cher, The Brothers Johnson, and The Jacksons.

David’s catalog also includes jazz and pop songs written by his dad, Marty Paich, one of the most respected LA writer/arrangers from the ‘50s-‘70s.
