Singer/songwriter Brooke Lee has signed a worldwide publishing deal with Spirit Music Nashville/2 Mix Music.

Born in Charlotte, and raised on Lake Norman this North Carolina artist made a name for herself from the early age of fifteen, and by twenty years old was named “Best Female Country Vocalist Queen City” in 2020 and 2021. The day Brooke turned twenty-one she packed her bags to chase her country music dreams and play gigs around the world. Since then, she’s built a reputation as a stand out singer and performer at venues both in the U.S. and internationally.
Lee released the single “Well Runs Dry” in 2022 produced by Paul Ebersold (Morgan Wade, Drew Holcomb). It was written by Brooke Lee, Paul Ebersold and 2 Mix Music/Spirit Music Nashville writer Jessica Cayne. Lee also has upcoming releases in the works being produced by Spirit’s own Derek Wells, who in addition to being a music publisher is an in-demand producer in his own right.
As a producer, Wells has completed successful projects for Universal Music Group (Maddie and Tae’s 2X Platinum “Die From A Broken Heart”); Big Loud Records (HARDY’s HIXTAPE and The Mockingbird & The Crow, including the single “Wait in the Truck”); and Triple Tigers/Sony (Scotty McCreery, which produced the multi-week number one singles “This is It” and “Damn Strait”). Wells is also a 2X Academy of Country Music Award winning multi-instrumentalist credited on over 100 #1 singles s including: Maren Morris, Blake Shelton, Shakira, Kenny Chesney, Scotty McCreery, Carrie Underwood, P!nk, Kid Rock, Florida Georgia Line, Dan + Shay, Kelsea Ballerini, Lady Antebellum, Morgan Wallen and Thomas Rhett. Wells was recently honored with the “Spirit of SESAC” award at the 2022 SESAC Awards.
The deal with Brooke Lee follows a time of unprecedented momentum by the Spirit Music Nashville team—over the past twelve months, 70% of Spirit Music Nashville’s current writer roster has had at least one charted single. This includes nine #1 singles, ten Top 10 singles, and 11 Top 30 songs in 2021 as well as ACM Single of the Year “I Hope You’re Happy Now” – Carly Pearce and Lee Brice (via Jonathan Singleton) and Album of the Year Starting Over by Chris Stapleton. The company also publishes Music Row’s Song of the Year, “Hell of a View” – Eric Church (via Monty Criswell). The company received four CMA nominations for Single of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Musical Event of the Year and took home six ASCAP Country awards. Spirit Music Nashville/Spirit Fluid writer Frank Ray earned the title of being most added song on country radio by a new artist (by impact day) driven by his single “Country Looks Good On You” (the song was also produced by Spirit Music Nashville CEO, Frank Rogers who is a multi-platinum producer/songwriter in his own right with 43 #1 hits, 75+ Top 20 songs and multiple RIAA certified multi-Platinum/Platinum/Gold records to his list of production/songwriting credits). The company also has a publishing interest in the top two country songs of the decade and top two country albums of the decade with “Meant To Be” and “Body Like A Backroad” and Traveller/Chris Stapleton and Montevallo/Sam Hunt.
