Gary Corbett

Multi-instrumentalist Gary Corbett, who has served as music director for a variety of pop and rock artists ranging from Kiss to Debbie Gibson, often found himself collaborating with the artists he served.

In the mid-1980s, he teamed up with Cyndi Lauper to write “She Bop,” a song that would go on to become a Top 5 smash from the artist’s Grammy-winning breakthrough album, ‘She’s So Unusual.’ “She Bop” has been used in several feature films in recent years and was recently included in the new Sony release, ‘Cyndi Lauper: The Essentials,’ and covered by Lauper on her recent, ‘The Body Acoustic.’
