Melody Federer is a Texas-born singer-songwriter with a nomadic soul, having honed her craft in New York, Paris, Los Angeles, and Nashville before settling in Seattle. With a sound that seamlessly blends Alt, Indie, and Pop, she continues to rise as an exciting and versatile talent in today’s music scene.
Melody has collaborated with an impressive range of artists across genres. From pop stars like Hilary Duff to electroclash producers Plastik Funk and Gazzo, her songwriting prowess knows no bounds. She has penned R&B tracks for Kelly Rowland, folk-rock tunes for Jacob Whitesides, and even worked alongside songwriting legend Burt Bacharach.
Her ability to craft emotional, memorable, and passionate toplines has placed her in the studio with some of the industry’s best, including GRAMMY Award winners Emory Dobyn, Mike Pool, and Daniel Tashian, as well as GRAMMY nominees Scott Chesak, Billy Mann, Chad Carlson, and Roget Chahayed.
Coming off a string of successes with Plastik Funk, TELYKast, and SAMATHA, Melody has been steadily releasing new solo material, following up on her 2017 debut album, Where The Dogwoods Bloom.
Her single “This Town” is a smoldering Alt-rock track that quickly caught the attention of radio stations, while her latest release, “The Wonder Years”, is an Americana-tinged ballad that is already receiving rave reviews.
